Businology

Over the course of a career spanning more than three decades, I have witnessed—and actively contributed to—multiple waves of technological transformation, from the early days of personal computing and telecommunications to today’s era of artificial intelligence and intelligent systems.

My professional journey began in the late 1980s within academic and research environments, where I worked on artificial intelligence, expert systems, and advanced computing technologies. Since then, I have dedicated my career to bridging the gap between technology, business strategy, and human needs, helping organisations understand how innovation can create sustainable value while remaining focused on people.

Throughout my career, I have worked across Europe, North America, Africa, and the Middle East, advising multinational corporations, investors, public institutions, and international organisations on digital transformation, innovation strategy, organisational change, and emerging technologies. My work has consistently focused on translating technological opportunities into practical business outcomes and societal impact.

I have contributed to the creation and development of numerous professional, academic, and industry initiatives, including associations, research communities, and collaborative ecosystems dedicated to advancing technology adoption, knowledge sharing, and organisational innovation. I have also been involved in launching new ventures and business initiatives in areas ranging from telecommunications and digital services to artificial intelligence and fintech.

My expertise covers artificial intelligence, organisational intelligence, digital transformation, payments, fintech, telecommunications, smart mobility, innovation management, and technology-driven business development. Over the years, I have worked extensively on mobile commerce, contactless technologies, digital payment ecosystems, and large-scale innovation programmes involving financial institutions, technology providers, mobile operators, and public administrations.

Alongside my advisory and executive activities, I am an independent journalist, keynote speaker, columnist, and university lecturer. I regularly contribute articles, research, and public discussions on artificial intelligence, organisational transformation, leadership, governance, and the evolving relationship between technology and society.

I have collaborated with international organisations, including initiatives connected to the United Nations system, supporting projects aimed at improving quality of life, digital inclusion, education, innovation, and sustainable development across different regions of the world.

Today, my work focuses on helping organisations navigate the transition toward the age of intelligent systems, exploring how artificial intelligence, leadership, governance, and human meaning intersect to shape the future of organisations and society. My central belief is that technology creates its greatest value when it enhances human capabilities, strengthens organisations, and contributes to a more informed, inclusive, and sustainable future.
